Erin's New Toy

Erin is starting to use her toys. While she cannot yet dunk a basketball, she does a pretty good impression of a puppy attempting to bite a ball.

Thumb sucking

Erin self soothes with her thumb. Hopefully it will not become a habit. She does not have a pacifier so this will do for now.

Hanging out on Wednesday

So we started the day with a nice walk to the Riveria Village and had lunch with one of the moms from the mommy and me class. We ate at a new restuarant- pretty good, but Erin slept through the entire afternoon

Erin is showing off her new bedspread (or at least the one in her room for guests to use, no longer the green and blue paisley). Here she is sucking her thumb frantically once again.

Home with Dad

Dad stayed home with me today while Mom worked. Mom left Dad a giant honey-do list, but we decided not to do any of it. Instead we had a great time; Dad took me on a walk and fed me bottles of milk until I slept the day away. When Mom gets home, I'll be ready for lots of attention while Dad sleeps.

Eating the hand

So I guess if the giraffe does not work out we can alway resort to the hand. Recently she has been aggresively attacking her hand and sucking her thumb so loudly that she wakes us up at night.

Giraffe toy

So this is the giraffe (Sophie) teether that everyone raved about in my mommy and me class. I got it as a gift so we are now trying to force it upon Erin (it looks like a dog chew toy). We will see if she likes it more when she is actually teething

Last day of mommy and me

So this was the last day of mommy and me. About half of the class was missing, so not all the babies are in the picture. We start a new class in 3 weeks. Met lots of nice people and totally cute babies.

Erin was holding hands with Brendan on the ride to the airport. Everytime she would startle she

would grip her fingers tighter around Brendan's finger. Her other hand was clutching her bib in a death grip.

Growing up Bridget lived next door to the Wrigleys. Their youngest daughter Melissa will soon live in her old house with her son Westin (8mths), maybe another boyfriend for Erin

Meeting Sugar

Sugar spends most of her day sleeping in her bed and Erin joined her this afternoon

Grandma and Grandpa

We spent the week in Benicia meeting Bridget's old friends and visiting family.

So we put Erin in a bean bag and covered it with a blanket and tried to get more posed pictures, not as good as a professional but some funny moments as the bean bag tried to eat Erin.

Erin's new mobile

Here she is enjoying the mobile. Unfortunately it only plays for 1 minute so the excitement is brief.

Erin's new crib and mobile

We set up the crib that Aunt Katie and Uncle Dave gave us and washed all the bedding. We tried out the mobile on erin and she seemed pleased. She is still sleeping in the bassenet, but will move to the crib soon as she is almost touching both ends.

Bridget's UCSB mini-reunion

Today we had a reunion of some of Bridget's college roommates and their children. Boy are we getting old.
